Tire Technician Job Description

A Tire Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and installing tires on various vehicles. The Tire Technician ensures that all tires meet safety standards and perform efficiently. The Tire Technician performs tire balancing, rotation, and replacement using specialized tools and machinery. A Tire Technician must have mechanical aptitude and attention to detail to ensure proper tire fitment and alignment.

As a Tire Technician, you will evaluate tire tread depth, pressure, and wear patterns to determine maintenance needs. The Tire Technician repairs punctures, mounts new tires, and disposes of old ones safely. The Tire Technician must follow all safety procedures while operating tire changers, balancers, and related equipment. The Tire Technician ensures customer satisfaction by providing accurate recommendations and efficient service.

The Tire Technician must have knowledge of different tire types, including all-season, performance, and off-road tires. The Tire Technician also works closely with other automotive professionals to ensure vehicle safety and handling. The Tire Technician position requires physical stamina, mechanical skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Tire Technician or similar role

• Knowledge of tire installation, balancing, and repair

• Ability to operate tire-changing and balancing equipment

• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

• Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy tires

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Certification in automotive service or tire maintenance preferred
