Catering Lead

Job Description

Represent Smokey Bones in the community to cultivate relationships with potential customers, engage with local residents, and help drive business success. Fulfill responsibilities concerning catering services and supporting marketing endeavors at the local store level. Carry out tasks that involve planning, delivering, setting up, and serving catering services from Smokey Bones for various clientele as required. Execute lead generation tactics including telemarketing, canvassing, participating in local marketing campaigns, and attending community gatherings. Participate in community events like organizing gatherings, charity initiatives, creating connections, and more.

Operational Execution

• Aid Catering Sales Manager and restaurant managers in managing operational and executional tasks effectively.
• Develop a structured plan for managing daily catering deliveries.
• Aid in the packing of food for catering orders, supporting managers and team members to ensure that food is packaged accurately and promptly.
• Move and assemble catering orders for clients as requested.
• Verify that drivers are routed accurately for catering deliveries to be completed successfully.
• Effectively incorporate the utilization of third-party delivery providers such as DoorDash for staff catering deliveries as required.
• Aid in managing large-scale and full-menu catering orders as requested.

Community and Marketing

• Design, prepare, and be present at relevant public events to promote awareness of Smokey Bones within the local community.
• Establish connections with local businesses to educate them about the Smokey Bones brand and inform them about any applicable promotions that could enhance their operations.
• Develop partnerships within the community to drive sales growth collectively.
• Organize giving back events with community groups, schools, and charitable organizations using internal platforms and procedures.
• Be proactive in exploring additional sales avenues that resonate with our core values.
• Utilize the tools and platforms provided by the Restaurant Support Center for local email outreach, social media postings, and any additional printed materials that may be needed.

• Flexibility to put in overtime as requested by the General Manager or District Officer.
• Undertakes supplementary duties as required and allocated.

Transportation Requirements

The position requires that the team member have and maintain a vehicle in good working order, possess a current valid state-issued driver's license, and maintain comprehensive vehicle insurance. Proof of insurance and license are required. Mileage reimbursement will be provided.

Physical Demands

As part of their job functions, the employee is expected to frequently be on their feet, walk, sit, utilize hands and fingers for manipulating objects and tools, reach with arms, ascend stairs, maintain equilibrium, bend, kneel, squat, or crawl, communicate audibly, and taste or smell sensations. The employee is required to consistently lift packages and containers of food products weighing up to 50 pounds.
