About Smokey Bones:
Smokey Bones is a full-service restaurant delivering great barbecue, award-winning ribs, and good times in 63 locations across 16 states. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Guest Experience
- Helps teammates improve their skills in providing outstanding customer service.
- Supports teammates in understanding how to expect, identify, and rectify issues that affect the guest's overall experience.
- Provides guidance to colleagues on understanding the influence of their behavior on the overall guest satisfaction and how performance outcomes reflect the quality of guest service delivered.
- Maintains a welcoming atmosphere for guests and actively seeks their feedback.
- Manages and takes care of guest concerns that have been elevated by team members, forwarding them to the General Manager and District Officer as needed
- Collaborates with the General Manager and Director to ensure the quality of all restaurant facilities in the region, aligning on priority needs, communicating effectively with vendors, and supporting oversight of repairs or maintenance for the building, landscape, parking lot, equipment, seating, and technology.
Operations Leadership:
- Establishes the norms and desired actions that restaurant managers and team members should emulate.
- Demonstrates and imparts our principles and traditions in a way that is comprehensible to others.
- Instructs and aids team members in mastering the preparation and adherence to updated departmental standards and menu adjustments
- Constructs timetables for department workers
- Instructs colleagues on strategies for achieving operational effectiveness, maintenance standards, and facility upkeep.
- Acts as a catalyst for teammates to enhance their performance capabilities
- Delivers encouraging and constructive feedback on the performance of teammates; collaborates with the General Manager/Director to determine the appropriate disciplinary actions to take when teammates do not meet performance requirements.
- Fosters the growth of leadership skills in oneself and colleagues
Financial Performance:
- Develops strategies, communicates them to the General Manager and Management Staff, and evaluates specific goals to achieve the accepted inventory level, departmental sales growth, and customer satisfaction as per Company standards
- Communicates the specific areas where performance improvements are required within their department to achieve the objectives set in the business plan
- Evaluates the sales patterns and trends in the department to contribute to the development of sales-boosting initiatives.
- Seeking to understand profit and loss statements, forecast future financial scenarios, and create budget plans
- Handles a wide array of administrative responsibilities to assist in restaurant operations regarding team members and in alignment with local, state, and federal statutes.
Requirements:
- The perfect candidate needs to exhibit the essential experience and attributes:
- Kitchen Management Experience in Full-Service Restaurant and Bar Environment
- Aptitude in working with Excel, Windows, and POS technology is a valuable skill set in the workplace
- Dedicated to achieving success, reliable, and promoting teamwork
- The skill to effectively involve and enhance team members through coaching that conforms to our company's policies
- Being enthusiastic about the hospitality industry and dedicated to crafting superb guest and employee interactions should be a primary focus
- Capable of remaining upright for a duration of 10 hours and hoisting weights up to 50 pounds.
- After extending a job offer, prospective employees must complete pre-employment screenings, which could involve drug testing, background investigations, and confirming previous work experience.
