The Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) Bakery Manager/Lead Operator takes charge of overseeing the team and managing the day-to-day bakery operations, including customer satisfaction, cake manufacturing, brand visibility, workplace atmosphere, and financial performance. The key focus lies in driving sales and profitability while ensuring top-tier product quality, customer service, and team commitment. As a cultural ambassador, the Bakery Manager embodies NbC's core values and sparks joy within the bakery and the community surrounding it.

Accountabilities / Duties:

Team Leadership:

• Highlights the significance of prioritizing the customer journey, exemplifies exceptional communication, and cultivates a harmonious team dynamic.
• Attracts, educates, and advances workforce members while transparently articulating performance criteria.
• Regularly interacts with team members to assess their progress, offer feedback, and resolve difficulties efficiently.
• Offers continual coaching, conducts quarterly evaluations to assess performance, and promptly addresses any shortcomings in performance.
• Entrusts responsibilities to the Assistant Manager to ensure operational efficiency is maintained.
• Recognizes and empowers aspiring leaders through mentorship and opportunities for professional development.
• Retains practical expertise in all bakery functions and aids when necessary to sustain operations.

Business Operations:

• In charge of overseeing the bakery's opening and closing operations, including the accurate handling of cash and making deposits at the bank.
• Administers individualized orders for clients, companies, and significant gatherings with precision.
• Establishes weekly sales goals, production timetables, and workforce plans that are synchronized with the latest business trends.
• Controls inventory, requests supply deliveries, and conducts scheduled audits to sustain correct stock levels.
• Guarantees consistent conformity to NbC operational guidelines, health protocols, and food safety measures at all times.
• Maximizes financial gains by effectively handling variable expenses like labor, supplies, and maintenance.
• Manages administrative tasks which involve payroll administration, report generation, and basic accounting functions.

Local Marketing:

• Drives community outreach campaigns aimed at amplifying brand visibility and building partnerships with local entities.
• Arranges for the bakery to take part in events, sponsorships, and partnerships that are in harmony with NbC's core values.
• Supports campaigns that focus on promoting businesses within the vicinity to drive footfall and improve community rapport.

Academic achievements, certifications, and work background:

• A high school diploma or GED is a prerequisite, and having completed post-secondary education is considered beneficial.
• 3 years of leadership experience in retail, hospitality, or food service environments.
• Evidenced proficiency in managing team dynamics, reaching financial accomplishments, and upholding exceptional levels of guest satisfaction.
• Knowledge in structuring calendars, managing stock inventories, and controlling expenses.
• The individual should either already hold a food safety certification or have the capability to obtain it within the initial 30 days of work.
• Mastery of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and readiness to grasp the workings of new software.

Work Availability:

A flexible work schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, is necessary to fulfill the operational needs of the business.
