Job Overview:
As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks including assembly, receiving shipments, loading and unloading trucks, picking and packing orders, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The ideal Warehouse Associate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to work safely and efficiently, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards throughout all warehouse processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety & Compliance: The Warehouse Associate must follow all warehouse safety procedures, use equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks properly, and maintain compliance with all company and regulatory standards.
- Assembly & Packaging: Assemble components and products using appropriate tools, ensuring quality and consistency. The Warehouse Associate will also prepare items for shipment with secure and accurate packaging.
- Receiving & Storage: Receive incoming materials, inspect shipments, and verify contents against packing lists. The Warehouse Associate organizes and stores products in designated warehouse locations for easy access and accurate tracking.
- Shipping & Distribution: Pick and pack items according to order specifications. The Warehouse Associate prepares shipments for transport, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Inventory Management: Perform cycle counts, assist with physical inventory, and report discrepancies. A successful Warehouse Associate maintains accurate and up-to-date inventory data.
- Quality Control: Inspect all incoming and outgoing products for damage or defects. The Warehouse Associate ensures only top-quality goods are shipped.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and clutter-free warehouse environment.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Associate, warehouse worker, or logistics assistant preferred.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely; forklift certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and inventory management.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical labor in a warehouse setting.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to following instructions and maintaining a safe, efficient work environment.
